Responsibilities

  • Lead integrated execution plan for the ATLAS facility, driving installation, integration, and commissioning of PW-class laser systems and infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans including timelines, milestones, and resource planning
  • Ensure alignment between engineering development in Germany and on-site implementation in Colorado
  • Identify, track, and resolve integration priorities across mechanical, laser, electrical, controls, and facility subsystems
  • Act as the primary technical interface between Munich and Fort Collins teams
  • Coordinate procurement for laser systems and on-site infrastructure
  • Own project reporting and stakeholder communication across all levels and geographies

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical, systems, or industrial engineering
  • 5 to 10 years of experience managing complex technical or engineering projects
  • Experience with EPCC-type (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning) projects
  • Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage system integration
  • Ability to operate autonomously on-site while maintaining alignment with international teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with high-power laser systems, photonics, or optics
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or ISO 10007 standards
  • German language proficiency
  • Experience in greenfield facility builds or large-scale laboratory environments
