Technical Project Manager, Hardware

About the Company

QuEra Computing is building neutral-atom quantum computers at the frontier of the field. Our Hardware Engineering team designs, builds, and deploys the complex modules and systems at the heart of our machines.

Responsibilities

• Field and triage incoming requests from the Science team and translate them into actionable work
• Drive delivery completeness by ensuring all necessary equipment and planning is done for successful deployment
• Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, optical, and production disciplines to manage dependencies
• Own project tracking in Jira, including task breakdown, effort estimates, and workflow enforcement
• Plan and manage resources while escalating risks early
• Chase status and proactively remove blockers to keep projects on track
• Record meeting actions with owners and due dates and track them to closure
• Audit project artifacts to ensure required documentation is present and correctly formatted

Requirements

• 5–8 years of project management or coordination experience in hardware engineering, lab, scientific instrumentation, or manufacturing
• Experience managing cross-functional engineering work (mechanical, electrical, and/or optical)
• Proficiency with project tracking tools, specifically Jira
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to drive accountability and follow up persistently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hardware engineering development and production
• Experience supporting system deployments or installations at customer or facility sites
• PMP or Agile/Scrum certification
