About the role

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop innovative products and technologies that align with the company's strategic plan.
  • Manage technical development teams, setting product scope, timelines, and addressing formulation, safety, and cost issues.
  • Partner with Marketing, Procurement, Finance, and Operations to ensure successful product milestones and feasibility.
  • Lead the transition of technology from R&D to Process Development for scale-up and production.
  • Provide production support for raw material replacement, process improvement, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Complete technical specifications, including product specifications, MSDS, and testing documentation.
  • Work with patent attorneys to support IP assessments and patentability documentation.
  • Supervise and mentor R&D technologists, designing and assigning lab work tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a physical science (Chemistry background preferred).
  • Seven years of professional experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
  • Proven knowledge of product formulation, evaluation, and testing.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
