About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of customized industrial automation and special-purpose machinery from concept through commissioning.
  • Translate customer requirements into clear project scopes, objectives, and actionable deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, critical path milestones, and resource allocation plans.
  • Direct and synchronize multidisciplinary international engineering teams across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines.
  • Serve as the primary interface for customers, managing expectations, scope modifications, and technical escalations.
  • Own project financial performance, including budget management, margin targets, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead on-site installation, commissioning, and final acceptance activities at customer facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field).
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven project management experience within industrial automation or special-purpose machinery sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with complex automated systems (robotics, vision, PLC controls, and mechanical integration).
  • Business-level proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally based on project needs.
  • Proficiency with modern project management tools such as MS Project.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or similar project management certification.
  • Experience leading international, cross-functional project teams.
  • Experience using SAP or other ERP systems for project controlling.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, 8D, or other structured problem-solving methods.
  • Fluency in additional languages such as German or Spanish.
