Technical Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Stand up and run program management by defining milestones, owning timelines, and managing sprint execution for software development teams.
• Manage supplier relationships at Tier-1 and Tier-2 levels, holding partners accountable to schedule and quality commitments.
• Serve as the primary customer contact for Japanese OEMs, translating requirements into tracked engineering work.
• Coordinate across internal and external teams to align technical roadmaps and unblock cross-team dependencies.
• Drive issues to closure by owning problem-solving and decision-making across multiple sites and time zones.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical project management or engineering within the automotive industry.
• Proven experience working with or managing OEM or Tier-1/Tier-2 suppliers.
• Technical depth in embedded systems, middleware, or ADAS to engage credibly with engineering teams.
• Native Japanese language skills and fluency in English.
• A builder mindset with the ability to create program structures from scratch in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Familiarity with automotive development standards such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, or AUTOSAR.
• Background in series production programs or SDS/ADAS platform delivery.
