About the role
Responsibilities
- Support programmatics from concept to completion for projects ranging from small internal R&D efforts to complete multi-spacecraft missions
- Run risk management processes, including generating risk documentation, tracking burndown plans, and coordinating risk closure approvals
- Facilitate and streamline headcount tracking and forecasting
- Plan and organize periodic internal program reviews covering schedule trends, risks, and key program requirements
- Work closely with engineers to develop detailed schedules for various subsystems and components
Requirements
- B.S. in aerospace engineering, or an equivalent technical degree (e.g., physics or applied math)
- Strong communication skills for both internal and external facing interactions
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate across different technical tracks and groups
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and overcome obstacles with creative solutions
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual as defined by U.S. export regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience in university programs, clubs, or technical projects
- Previous experience with space systems or hardware development
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, and V-lookups
