Technical Project Management - Advisor II

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of core banking and payment system initiatives, including real-time payments, card processing, and SWIFT transactions
• Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables
• Work cross-functionally with business stakeholders, IT, compliance, and third-party vendors
• Monitor project progress, resolve roadblocks, and ensure on-time delivery within scope and budget
• Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and external payment vendors
• Engage with regulators and auditors to ensure compliance with financial industry standards
• Identify and mitigate project risks related to fraud prevention, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and present status reports, KPIs, and post-implementation reviews for senior management

Requirements

• 6+ years of project management experience in banking, payments, or financial services
• 6+ years of experience in stakeholder management, risk management, and scope/budget management
• 4+ years of experience leading and directing project teams
• 1+ years of experience with payment gateways, digital wallets, and card networks
• Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, and MS Office Suite
• Strong knowledge of core payment systems including ACH, RTP, SWIFT, SEPA, FedNow, and Wire Transfers
• Familiarity with financial regulations such as PSD2, PCI-DSS, AML, ISO 20022, and NACHA
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, IT, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing banking transformation projects (core banking migration, digital payments, or open banking)
• Knowledge of FinTech integrations, API-based banking, or blockchain payments
• Hands-on experience with banking software such as Temenos, FIS, Fiserv, or ACI
