About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead complex, cross-functional programs spanning multiple engineering organizations.
- Act as a single-threaded owner for critical programs, managing ambiguity and dependencies.
- Own the full program lifecycle from ideation and technical design to execution and operational excellence.
- Partner with engineering and product leadership to shape roadmaps and influence technical decisions.
- Use hands-on data analytics (Python, SQL, dashboards) to guide programs and uncover insights.
- Build automation tools and improve internal systems to enhance the technical ecosystem.
- Drive the operating rhythm of the business to ensure engineering systems scale effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- 2+ years of experience in Engineering, Data Science, or Technical Program Management within a data-driven environment.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale, ambiguous programs across distributed teams.
- Strong proficiency with Python and SQL for data analysis and tool building.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, Looker, Tableau) and ticket management (e.g., JIRA).
- Experience contributing to technical design, architectural trade-offs, and roadmap planning.
- Ability to operate with high visibility and accountability in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in software engineering or infrastructure systems.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Airflow, Hive, Kafka, or Flink.
- Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Experience managing production systems, reliability initiatives, or cost optimization.
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a highly analytical field.
