About the Company

Nexus is a converged data platform for the AI era, built on an open-source foundation. The company provides a unified operational layer across mainframes, data lakes, warehouses, and streaming systems, allowing enterprises to integrate AI agents across their existing data estate without a complete rebuild.

Responsibilities

  • Own the delivery and technical operations for a portfolio of 2–4 strategic accounts ($5–10M each).
  • Manage gross margin and unit economics, including cost-to-serve and scope discipline.
  • Act as the primary technical and executive relationship lead for customer VPs of Data, CDOs, and CTOs.
  • Translate customer business problems into technical requirements for the engineering team and communicate engineering trade-offs back to customers.
  • Establish delivery programs, including roadmaps, milestones, governance, and communication cadences.
  • Define and instrument customer success metrics and health signals to prevent escalations.
  • Partner with the CRO on renewal and expansion strategies.
  • Codify engagement playbooks and operational models to build the company's delivery function.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years in customer-facing solution delivery, consulting, or forward-deployed roles.
  • Proven track record of end-to-end ownership of enterprise customer outcomes.
  • Experience in a startup or scale-up engineering organization (Series A through D).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both engineers and C-suite executives.
  • Technical fluency to read architecture documents and understand data, cloud, or platform infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with modern program tooling such as Linear and Notion.
  • Strong written communication skills for status updates, postmortems, and memos.
  • High agency and a problem-ownership mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at companies like Palantir, Anthropic, OpenAI, Databricks, Stripe, or Scale AI.
  • Previous experience carrying direct gross margin or P&L responsibility.
  • Engineering background, such as a CS degree or prior experience as an individual contributor in engineering.
