Technical Program Manager, Model Alignment and Deployment

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of cross-functional programs spanning data collection, alignment workflows (RLHF, DPO, Constitutional AI), and safety guardrails.
• Serve as the connective tissue between Post-Training, Safety Engineering, ML Infra, UXR, and Product teams to align roadmaps.
• Develop and maintain custom evaluation frameworks to track model performance, safety, and toxicity baselines.
• Drive operational excellence by improving visibility into data pipeline health, annotation quality, and deployment readiness.
• Partner with leadership on prioritization and tradeoffs between capability scaling, safety requirements, and infrastructure constraints.
• Manage external partner relationships, including annotation vendors and evaluation tooling providers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical program management, research operations, or product execution within an AI/ML or research environment.
• Deep familiarity with post-training and alignment concepts such as RLHF, supervised fine-tuning, and AI safety frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data and user insights to drive decisions.
• Exceptional communication skills to translate deep technical work into clear narratives for leadership.
• BS in a quantitative, scientific, or technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with data pipelines, annotation platforms, or human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Experience managing annotation vendors or external data partners.
• Familiarity with distributed training, experiment tracking, or ML infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, cloud).
• Prior experience embedded in an AI research lab or Trust & Safety engineering team.
