Technical Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end AI-Generated Media (AIGM) Provenance program, covering regulatory compliance, detection, and signal certification.
• Drive cross-organizational alignment across Media Foundation, FAIR, Integrity, Product, and Policy teams to ensure shared milestones.
• Own technical strategy for provenance infrastructure, including watermark embedding, detection APIs, and signal preservation through media pipelines.
• Navigate global regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., CA SB 942, India IT Rules) from technical design to production deployment.
• Represent Meta in industry standards bodies like C2PA to influence specification development and strategic positioning.
• Partner with researchers and engineers to translate technical constraints into product and policy implications.
• Establish and track key metrics and benchmarks for provenance infrastructure to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or technical program management.
• Proven experience leading complex programs across multiple organizations with competing priorities.
• Strong understanding of content provenance technologies, digital watermarking, or cryptographic signing (e.g., C2PA, IPTC).
• Experience representing a company in industry standards bodies, consortia, or cross-company technical collaborations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale distributed systems programs from inception to global production under hard deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills with experience influencing executive leadership and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with AI-generated content detection or content authenticity initiatives.
• Deep technical fluency in media processing systems (transcoding, codecs, storage) or AI/ML infrastructure.
• Familiarity with media infrastructure at massive scale (billions of daily uploads).
• Background in regulatory compliance programs related to privacy, content policy, or trust and safety.
• Experience implementing responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk assessment and bias mitigation.
