Technical Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage the strategy, planning, execution, and delivery of complex hardware products from concept through production
• Own the program budget and staffing plans, ensuring accountability for all project expenditures
• Create and maintain product cost models to ensure end products meet cost targets
• Act as the primary link between the program team and stakeholders, providing regular reporting to company leadership
• Use disciplined project management methodologies to define scope and develop plans that meet cost and schedule requirements
• Monitor project progress, evaluate quality, and manage issue resolution and risk communication

Requirements

• B.S. degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline
• Deep understanding of the technical product design life cycle and problem-solving processes
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across product, engineering, production, and supply chain
• Experience implementing program management tools for scheduling, risk management, and cost tracking
• Strong ability to apply technical knowledge to drive decision-making and trade-off discussions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience reporting to senior management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shipping highly complex technical products as a design engineer
• Experience working in startup environments or highly entrepreneurial companies
• Experience leading hardware development with overseas manufacturing partners
