Technical Program Manager (EMC)

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project planning, scheduling, and execution of EMC validation for wearable devices
• Coordinate activities among hardware, software, firmware engineers, and external labs
• Develop and maintain detailed EMC project plans, deliverable trackers, and risk registers
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders to report program status and compliance milestones
• Oversee preparation and review of test setups and documentation for regulatory compliance (FCC, CE)
• Guide engineering teams on EMC design and troubleshooting practices using test instrumentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of technical program management experience in consumer electronics or high-volume hardware
• Hands-on expertise with EMC test equipment including spectrum analyzers and signal generators
• Experience leading complex cross-functional programs from early design to mass production
• Solid knowledge of global regulatory EMC standards (FCC, CISPR, EN, IEC)
• Experience managing external labs and third-party certification processes
• Exposure to EMI/EMC design guidelines and root-cause analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of EMC test procedures for wearable or miniature battery-operated devices
• Familiarity with automated test scripting and data analysis tools like Python or LabVIEW
• Master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline
