Technical Program Manager, Data Annotation

Responsibilities

• Own the project side of data annotation by designing and rolling out tasks to ensure high-quality, high-quantity, and high-variety data for machine learning models
• Manage task creation for the data annotation ontology and develop robust annotation processes
• Create detailed documentation and guidance to ensure annotators are aligned with project needs
• Work closely with Machine Learning, Software Engineering, and Data teams to define frameworks and tools
• Perform hands-on data annotation during the design phase of new tasks

Requirements

• Intermediate understanding of Machine Learning (ML)
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for guiding annotators
• Strong stakeholder management skills across engineering and data teams
• Proven ability to prioritize competing requests in an organized, fast-paced manner
• Experience with task creation and technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a strategic projects lead or data program manager for AI labs or data vendors
• Technical skills to build custom tools for data annotation
• Ability to leverage AI to improve operational productivity
