Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project roadmaps, translating strategic goals into milestones
• Run regular team meetings, triage issues, and ensure research and engineering teams stay on track
• Coordinate between technical and project teams to identify and resolve dependencies
• Write and review technical design documents and project plans
• Model human, compute, and financial resources across projects
• Contribute technically when necessary
• Engage with external project partners and cultivate new collaborations
• Refine the organization's approach to project management in a research context

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience managing technical scientific or engineering projects
• PhD-level comprehension of AI/ML concepts
• Proficiency with project management tools like Linear or JIRA
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Proficiency with collaboration tools like Notion and GSuite
• Exceptional technical writing and communication skills
• Expertise in statistics, causal reasoning, probabilistic machine learning, or programming languages

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to navigate uncertainty and find clarity in complex, nebulous research questions
• First-principles thinking approach to problem-solving
• Ability to automate processes and simplify complexity
