About the role
Responsibilities
- Own government-related program execution from concept to completion, including R&D efforts and multi-spacecraft missions
- Develop and communicate program schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful delivery
- Lead the risk management process, including documentation, mitigation tracking, and risk closure
- Serve as the primary customer interface for government programs, leading design reviews and milestone reporting
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, and mission assurance teams to ensure alignment on requirements and design
- Drive technical trade analyses and decision-making to resolve complex mission constraints
- Oversee the preparation of system documentation and operational manuals for handover and sustainment
- Support the scaling of USG program execution frameworks and cross-functional processes
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline
- 7+ years of program or project management experience within aerospace or space systems
- Experience with U.S. Government contracts and customer interactions
- U.S. Citizenship; must be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph
- Proven ability to manage complex technical programs in fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of National Security and Civil Space organizations and programs
- Systems engineering experience including requirements definition, verification, and validation
- Experience with cost account management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, or MS Project
- Familiarity with mission operations, ground planning, and CONOPS development
- Experience with optical or RF payloads, payload integration, and spacecraft AI&T
