Technical Program Director

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of aerospace engineering and hardware development projects
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, action trackers, and program status reporting
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and leadership teams
• Support technical reviews, design reviews, and production readiness discussions
• Monitor project scope, schedule, cost drivers, and execution risks
• Track deliverables, action items, and procurement dependencies
• Support disciplined configuration management processes for hardware and software
• Coordinate and monitor test-readiness activities and integration planning

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering preferred
• 5+ years of project management experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or hardware development
• Required experience in the aerospace industry
• Strong understanding of engineering development processes and technical schedules
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, software)
• Familiarity with hardware development lifecycle and test planning
• Understanding of configuration management principles
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with technical teams and leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting prototype or flight hardware development
• Familiarity with test readiness reviews and engineering release processes
• Understanding of software integration within system architecture
• Experience with customer-funded programs or defense-related development
• PMP certification or equivalent training
