Technical Professional Leader

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a group of engineers, providing technical direction and conducting performance appraisals
• Coach and develop junior professionals and designers
• Lead the design of large and complex technical safety assignments
• Perform all aspects of Technical Safety scope within project teams
• Check and confirm the completeness of deliverables, including safety layouts and reports
• Provide expertise in areas such as HAZID/HAZOP, Fire & Explosion Analysis, and Safety Integrity Levels

Requirements

• BEng in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent science or engineering degree
• 10-20+ years of related experience, with an average of 20+ years preferred
• Chartered Engineer membership with an accredited institution (e.g., IChemE)
• Expert-level understanding of Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Assessments
• Proficiency in HAZID/HAZOP chairing, Layer of Protection Analysis, and Safety Management Systems
• Experience with Safety Critical Elements, Performance Standards, and Safety Integrity Levels

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in Engineering, specifically in Chemical Engineering or Process Safety
