Technical Product Manager II

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to analyze business processes and translate requirements into technical specifications for data integration projects.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, success metrics, and planning.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including integration requirements, data mappings, API specifications, and test plans.
• Write detailed epics and user stories for development teams.
• Lead the delivery of integration projects, managing risks, mitigation activities, and customer communication.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customer queries and escalations.
• Partner with engineering leads and other TPMs using Agile methodologies to manage Technical Services activities.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in technical product management with a focus on data and workflow integrations.
• Strong customer-facing experience with the ability to bridge business requirements and technical design.
• Practical experience with APIs (REST, GraphQL), integration patterns, and data formats (JSON, XML, flat).
• Proficiency in writing basic SQL and reading API documentation.
• Proven experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating HRIS or Finance systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle Fusion).
• Experience working with or alongside AI/LLM-enabled capabilities.
• Background in higher education or research systems.
• Familiarity with Research Information Management Systems or Faculty Information Systems.
