About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for Forwarding Operations technology, including centralization strategy, task orchestration, and AR/AP automation.
  • Conduct process shadowing and interviews with global operations teams to map workflows and identify automation opportunities.
  • Design technical architectures for orchestration layers, universal task inboxes, and financial system integrations.
  • Define and track operational KPIs such as task completion time, exception rates, and manual touchpoints per shipment.
  • Partner with engineering, AI, and data science teams to drive zero-touch execution initiatives and automate freight corridors.
  • Lead change management efforts to drive the adoption of new operational tools across regional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in logistics, workflow automation, or operations technology.
  • Technical proficiency with the ability to read and write code and work with HTTP APIs and messaging/queueing systems.
  • Practical understanding of AI fundamentals (vision, language, or multimodal).
  • Proven experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications for engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with freight forwarding, international logistics, or Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Familiarity with CargoWise or similar industry software.
  • Experience with EDI or API-based carrier integrations.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CSM, PSPO, or PGSPO.
