Technical Product Manager

Responsibilities

• Define the vision, roadmap, and KPIs for data platform components including ingestion, storage, archival, and export services.
• Translate requirements from internal customers into platform features such as real-time/batch ingestion and multi-tiered storage.
• Collaborate with platform engineers and architects on scalability, availability, and cost-efficiency.
• Implement data governance policies for classification, retention, and compliance.
• Manage internal stakeholders by providing onboarding guides, SLAs, and usage documentation.
• Optimize costs and performance by tracking data growth trends and collaborating with FinOps.
• Ensure security compliance including encryption, access controls, and data masking.
• Manage sprint and release planning, breaking down epics into iterative deliverables.

Requirements

• Experience in technical product management with a focus on platform engineering or data platforms.
• Ability to define service-level expectations like latency, throughput, and durability.
• Proficiency in translating technical specifications into product requirements (PRDs).
• Experience managing technical roadmaps and prioritized backlogs.
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle management and governance.
• Ability to coordinate across infrastructure, SRE, and data engineering teams.
