Technical Procurement

Responsibilities

• Source mechanical, chemical, and electrical components and equipment packages for upcoming plants
• Set up and improve scalable procurement systems
• Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships and negotiate pricing and JDAs
• Collaborate with engineering to align specifications and lead times
• Partner with finance to refine cost models and manage spend
• Review and manage supplier contracts and monitor supply chain risks
• Optimize sourcing, logistics, and procurement operations

Requirements

• M.Sc. in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering or related fields
• Proven experience sourcing technical parts and managing procurement in a hardware-heavy startup or scale-up
• Strong understanding of cost drivers, accounting, and basic logistics
• Sharp negotiation skills and experience building supplier relationships
• Fluency in German and English
• Ability to work onsite in Ismaning, Germany

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with chemical or electrochemical systems
• Familiarity with equipment used in chemical plants or pilot facilities
• Experience with ERP systems or building procurement systems from scratch
