Technical Procurement Officer

Responsibilities

• Implement technical procurement processes for airline fleet engineering and maintenance, including spare parts, components, tools, and equipment
• Act as an interface between stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of technical requirements
• Negotiate commercial contract terms and prices in accordance with airline procedures, airworthiness regulations, and OEM specifications
• Evaluate and pre-qualify new vendors and suppliers in coordination with Quality Assurance and Finance departments
• Monitor and assess the performance of existing vendors through valuation forms, reports, and history reviews
• Manage quotation requests, purchase orders, and exchange orders using the inventory control system
• Coordinate with the AOG desk and logistics team to meet urgent operational requirements
• Maintain up-to-date databases of suppliers, vendors, prices, and transactions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aircraft, Aeronautical, or Electro-Mechanical preferred) or Management
• 2+ years of related experience in technical procurement within the aviation industry
• Specialized knowledge of procurement and inventory management systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of legal requirements related to Civil Aviation Authorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a low-cost airline environment
• Engineering Inventory Software certification
• Project Management certification
• Training in Cost Control, Compliance, Budgeting, or Quality Assurance
• Professional membership in aviation or airline industry associations
