Technical Procedure Writer

Responsibilities

• Develop new, revised, or modified technical procedures for dimensional inspection, material testing, metrology, procurement, radiography, and weld inspection
• Comply with Y15-232 Technical Procedure Process and the Technical Procedure Authoring Tool (TPAT)
• Develop or revise administrative procedures in compliance with Y15-235 and the Administrative Procedure Authoring Tool (APAT)
• Develop Enterprise procedures applicable to Y-12 and Pantex
• Prepare and coordinate procedure reviews and comment resolution
• Implement hazard controls and ensure procedures can be performed as written through verification and validation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience in technical disciplines and technical procedure writing
• Or 18 years of experience in technical procedure writing in a commercial nuclear or Weapons Complex facility
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Active or very recently active DOE "Q" Clearance or DoD "Top Secret" Clearance
• Familiarity with DOE Orders, Standards, Quality Assurance Program Descriptions, and Hazard Analysis documents
