Technical Principal - Building Structures

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and expertise for large-scale structural engineering projects within the Property & Buildings Group.
• Manage project scope and coordinate resources to ensure technical excellence and client satisfaction.
• Promote innovative, client-focused design solutions and develop a strong industry profile.
• Prepare and review complex technical project reports, pursuits, and proposals.
• Develop staff by mentoring and creating future technical leaders within the organization.
• Apply sound engineering judgment to solve complex technical issues and optimize project outcomes.
• Assist in the development of regional strategic bids and market the company's capabilities.

Requirements

• Registration as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) in New Zealand.
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in Building Structures Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand structural seismic design and earthquake engineering requirements.
• Proven experience working within a large consultancy environment.
• A successful track record in delivering commercial, hospital, university, hotel, or apartment projects.
• Ability to work effectively and competently with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
