Technical Operator III

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for remote guests using various video conferencing platforms
• Manage incoming signals from the field and organize/ingest video for editorial use
• Act as the primary technical support for control room and studio operations during specified times
• Collaborate with network engineering and operations to ensure all studio and control room needs are met
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and signal issues in real-time within a live television environment

Requirements

• Associates degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of experience in a related broadcast field preferred
• Strong knowledge of IT applications as they relate to television broadcast equipment
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Proven ability to make quick decisions and provide accurate instructions under the pressure of live broadcasts

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized technical training or industry-recognized certifications
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues remotely via phone with guests
