Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical guidance to program staff on emergency management topics
- Independently review engineering calculations for hazardous materials analysis
- Partner with Emergency Management Duty Officers to improve technical basis knowledge
- Train future technical basis engineers on hazards analysis processes
- Assist in generating plans and procedures for the emergency program
Requirements
- Advanced expertise in Department of Energy requirements for emergency program technical basis
- Extensive experience with EPIcode and ALOHA for chemical release modeling
- Extensive experience with HotSpot for radiological release modeling
- Ability to work independently on detailed technical reviews
- U.S. citizenship required for Q-level clearance
