About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and problem-solve manufacturing process equipment in a high-volume automotive environment
- Perform electrical and mechanical work on conveyors, robots, automated equipment, and programmable controllers
- Execute preventative and predictive maintenance activities per schedule to ensure equipment optimization
- Organize and execute maintenance projects, including process system upgrades and new installations
- Provide technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems to solve manufacturing challenges
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to identify and eliminate waste
- Support production operators to achieve throughput and uptime targets
Requirements
- Technical degree, Four Year Apprenticeship, or equivalent experience
- Electrical or Mechanical Journeyman’s license (e.g., Tool and Die, Machine Repair)
- 8+ years of experience as a maintenance or electrical technician
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and welding
- Strong knowledge of PLC, robotics, fluid power, and pneumatics
- Ability to work off-shift (2nd or 3rd shift)
- Familiarity with high-volume automotive manufacturing processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix and Siemens HMI
- Ability to read and edit PLC programs
- Experience with Fanuc robotics programming and maintenance
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, brazing, or ARC welding
