Technical Officer

Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, maintain, and pack down teaching laboratories and simulation sessions to create realistic learning environments
• Support the delivery of nursing and midwifery practical classes, including high- and low-fidelity simulation environments
• Undertake stock control, equipment checks, maintenance, and procurement of consumables and equipment
• Support WHS compliance and contribute to a safe, inclusive working environment
• Collaborate with academic and professional staff to deliver high-quality simulation experiences

Requirements

• Relevant Health qualification such as Enrolled Nurse, Diploma, or Associate degree
• Strong Work Health and Safety (WHS) awareness within specialized teaching or healthcare environments
• Well-developed organizational and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Teams and SharePoint
• Ability to apply clinical and technical knowledge to maintain realistic simulation environments
• Ability to perform hands-on tasks including preparing rooms and moving equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting practical and simulation-based learning in Nursing, Midwifery, or other Health disciplines
