Technical Officer

Responsibilities

• Carry out technical tasks including maintenance, software support, hardware changes, investigations, and project activities across various systems.
• Maintain an understanding of the operational impact of assigned tasks and take responsibility for specific functions or facilities.
• Actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement of service delivery and work practices.
• Follow set priorities and use initiative for ad hoc tasks while accurately recording work and safety issues in required systems.
• Support the ongoing safety and integrity of Australia’s National Airways System under general supervision.

Requirements

• Diploma of Technology in Engineering (Radio, Communications, Electrical, or Electronic), IT, or Computer Science (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated ability to work with limited technical guidance.
• Australian Citizenship is required.
• Eligibility to achieve and maintain an Australian Government National Security Clearance.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACMA Data Cabling Licence.
• Restricted Electrical Licence.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
