About the role

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret piping drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, specifications, and engineering documents for construction.
  • Prepare and review technical submittals, method statements, material submittals, RFIs, and technical queries (TQs).
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, QA/QC, procurement, and planning teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure piping works comply with ADNOC standards, project specifications, ASME, API, and applicable international codes.
  • Monitor engineering revisions to ensure the latest approved drawings are available for construction.
  • Provide technical support during piping fabrication, installation, hydrotesting, and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Review material take-offs (MTOs) and piping material specifications to support procurement.
  • Assist in preparing as-built drawings and project handover documentation.
  • Attend technical coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
  • 5–8 years of experience in piping engineering or technical office functions within Oil & Gas EPC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of piping construction, fabrication, installation, and testing requirements.
  • Deep understanding of ASME, API, ASTM, and other relevant piping codes and standards.
  • Excellent coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience on ADNOC projects or similar GCC Oil & Gas facilities.
  • Familiarity with ADNOC engineering standards and Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.
