About the role
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret GA drawings, equipment layout drawings, vendor drawings, datasheets, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
- Prepare and review technical submittals, method statements, material submittals, lifting plans, RFIs, and Technical Queries (TQs).
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, QA/QC, vendors, and planning teams to resolve technical issues related to equipment installation.
- Ensure equipment installation complies with ADNOC standards, project specifications, OEM requirements, and international codes (API, ASME, ISO).
- Review equipment installation procedures, including alignment requirements, grouting, torque values, and preservation requirements.
- Monitor engineering revisions to ensure the latest approved drawings and vendor documents are available for construction.
- Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, mechanical completion, and the preparation of as-built documentation and handover dossiers.
- Participate in constructability reviews and attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
- 5–8 years of experience in mechanical equipment engineering or technical office functions within Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Minimum 3 years of experience on ADNOC projects or similar GCC Oil & Gas facilities.
- Strong knowledge of installation requirements for both static and rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, etc.).
- Familiarity with API, ASME, and ISO standards.
- Excellent coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
