Technical Manual Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of writers and illustrators to develop comprehensive operational and maintenance technical manuals for the LTAMDS Air Defense System
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute installation and fielding of equipment modifications and upgrades
• Generate the Technical Manual portion of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and monitor tasks, milestones, and dependencies
• Establish and maintain cost controls, variance analysis reports, and participate in all Estimate at Completion (EAC) activities
• Manage regular Integrated Process Team (IPT) meetings to discuss status, budget, and issues
• Coordinate and support all Safety and Engineering Peer Reviews and validation requirements for technical manuals
• Conduct quality reviews of materials and provide technical proficiency to customers and program leadership
• Perform domestic travel approximately 20% of the time

Requirements

• University Degree or equivalent experience with minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years of experience
• Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM) and/or bids and proposals
• Experience with MIL Standard 40051 and/or S1000D
• Experience in technical or functional leadership roles
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance (Secret) required on day one

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Eagle Publishing System or similar publishing systems
• Agile mindset with the ability to pivot based on changing circumstances or direction
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills
• Proven ability to manage the entire technical manual process from design to evaluation
