Technical Manager (Oilfield Geochemistry)

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee technical projects related to Geochemistry, Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), Digital Solutions, and Predictive Modelling
• Provide technical expertise and customer support throughout the project lifecycle
• Act as the technical specialist for analytical services, including sampling, testing, and data interpretation
• Lead field operations and support laboratory activities
• Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions
• Develop the technical capabilities of laboratory and field personnel through coaching and training
• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of laboratory and field data and reports
• Manage laboratory and field equipment, including troubleshooting and maintenance
• Develop, review, and maintain technical procedures and SOPs
• Ensure compliance with SGS policies, quality standards, and HSE requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related field
• 5-10 years of experience in well site analysis or laboratory services
• Experience in Oil and Gas services, specifically in Reservoir/Rocks Laboratory
• Supervisory or management experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel frequently on short notice
• Fluency in English and local language
