Technical Manager - Land Development

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to resolve complex design issues and maintain project quality
• Conduct quality assurance checks on deliverables to ensure compliance with standards and regulations
• Collaborate with Project Managers on project plans, drawing preparation, and staffing
• Coordinate technical requirements with clients, regulatory agencies, and sub-consultants
• Lead and guide the design team, including assigning work and conducting performance reviews
• Mentor designers, CAD technicians, and engineers to foster professional growth
• Oversee the creation of civil engineering documents such as site, utility, stormwater, and grading plans
• Lead technical training initiatives to standardize practices across offices
• Assist with project scope, budget, and schedule development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in civil site design or a related field
• Demonstrated expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong understanding of land development, zoning, stormwater management, and permitting regulations
• Excellent communication, mentorship, and problem-solving skills
