Technical Manager

Responsibilities

• Drive and take accountability for all technical activities for CMOs within the scope of the Supplier Relationship Team (SRT).
• Conduct product and process assessments and drive continuous improvement at CMO sites.
• Oversee the implementation of validation activities and manage post-approval changes to ensure product quality.
• Lead technical troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and CAPA implementation for technical issues.
• Provide technical leadership for technology transfers, New Product Introductions (NPI), and scale-up projects.
• Manage Product Quality Lifecycle Management, including technical risk assessments and data trending.
• Collaborate with R&D, category teams, and supply chain to ensure on-time and in-full new product launches.
• Work within a matrix management structure to drive performance from APAC CMO technical teams.
• Coach, mentor, and develop technical talent across the APAC region.

Requirements

• BS in Science or Engineering (specialization in Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Biomedical, or Food Science preferred).
• 10-15 years of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or technical environment.
• Proven experience working within a Contract Manufacturing Operation (CMO) environment.
• Expertise in complex technical troubleshooting, RCA, and CAPA effectiveness.
• Demonstrated leadership in executing scale-up, technology transfers, and process validation projects.
• Experience working within a global, matrixed organizational structure.
• Strong project management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or Business.
• Strong business acumen with experience interacting with external executive teams.
