Technical Manager Drainage Networks (O&M)

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for large-scale drainage network O&M transformation programs to drive service excellence and operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans, including regular inspections and schedules to ensure system functionality.
• Direct and monitor maintenance teams, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to high quality standards.
• Manage third-party contractors and sub-contractors, including the negotiation of O&M contracts and oversight of extended warranties.
• Ensure all operations comply with safety policies, statutory codes, and applicable regulations.
• Manage O&M budgets, monitor costs, and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead, coach, and develop staff through training and upskilling programs to meet manpower and development objectives.
• Analyze O&M data and incident reports to drive continuous improvement and optimization of techniques and equipment.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities and government agencies.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 25+ years of proven experience in Drainage System Development and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) projects.
• Extensive experience managing long-term O&M contracts.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Proficiency in Arabic.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale infrastructure complexity, including stakeholders, budgets, and diverse staff.
