Technical Manager Drainage Networks (O&M)

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for the maintenance and management of large-scale drainage networks to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery.
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans, including regular inspections and maintenance schedules.
• Monitor maintenance teams, coordinate tasks, and ensure work is completed to high standards and within budget.
• Manage third-party contractors and sub-contractors, including the negotiation of O&M contracts.
• Ensure all operations comply with safety policies, best practices, and applicable regulations.
• Analyze O&M data and incident reports to drive optimization, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Lead, coach, and develop staff through training and upskilling programs.
• Review and approve O&M provider change orders and monthly operations reports.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 25+ years of proven experience in Drainage System Development and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) projects.
• Extensive experience managing long-term O&M contracts.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proven interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to manage large-scale infrastructure complexity, including stakeholders and budgets.
• Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
