Technical Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead site-wide reliability, maintenance, engineering, and process improvement activities at the Mt. Holly, NC manufacturing site.
• Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution, including contractor oversight and budget control.
• Establish reliability engineering programs, including preventive and predictive maintenance and bad actor management.
• Ensure high functionality of E&I equipment and automation systems, including DCS, SIS, and PLC.
• Scope, justify, and execute engineering and CAPEX projects from concept through start-up.
• Develop, coach, and manage direct and indirect reports to build technical capability.
• Ensure compliance with Clariant standards, local regulations, and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in chemical plant maintenance, operations, or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of complex chemical production processes and reliability best practices.
• Experience with automation systems such as DCS, SIS, and PLC.
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in batch chemical manufacturing.
• Proven track record in project management methodologies.
