Technical Manager

Responsibilities

• Ensure plant equipment and systems operate reliably and efficiently through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Plan, execute, and deliver capital and improvement projects on time and within budget.
• Control maintenance and repair (M&R) costs and manage maintenance budgets and AFEs for projects.
• Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality regulations.
• Lead, coach, and develop maintenance and project teams while maintaining positive labor relations.
• Track and report key performance metrics for maintenance, uptime, and project performance.
• Manage spare parts inventory to minimize downtime and support maintenance needs.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent related work experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of job-related experience.
• Knowledge of plant engineering functions and systems integration.
• Ability to negotiate with contractors for facilities and building maintenance.
• Ability to estimate, budget, and prepare AFEs for capital projects.
• Knowledge of utility systems, cost tracking, and conservation methods.
• Fluency in both French and English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering or project management background.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance systems and documentation.
