Technical Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the stage department and manage a diverse team of back-of-house and freelance employees
• Oversee stage and technical management for all shows, ranging from high-profile performances to club events
• Act as the primary point of contact for advancing and technical fulfillment for all incoming productions
• Manage recruitment, rotas, and scheduling for technical crew
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and company guidelines
• Oversee departmental budgeting and maintain the company asset register for all technical equipment
• Supervise technical maintenance, including service regimes, PAT testing, and inspection reports

Requirements

• Proven experience in stage or production management
• Expertise in event production and interpreting technical riders
• Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk assessments
• Experience with diary management and staff rota systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT packages
• Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Strong communication, diplomacy, and problem-solving skills

• A proactive approach to technical production and equipment maintenance
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
