About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver, and administer manufacturing skills training programs including hands-on and classroom components
  • Serve as a trainer and mentor to new and existing team members through coaching, demonstrations, and job shadowing
  • Execute site training materials, including standard work, videos, and testing/verification of training
  • Facilitate training activities such as "train the trainer" for Leads and formal classroom instruction
  • Audit local training processes and collaborate on creating visual training aids and updated work procedures
  • Manage various training methods tailored to different employee skill levels and learning styles
  • Distribute assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training plans
  • Responsible for cross-training employees to ensure proficiency in all work-related tasks

Requirements

  • Experience with manufacturing processes; knowledge of the extrusion process is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills for small group and classroom-type training
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple trainees
  • Ability to walk consistently throughout a non-climate controlled facility
  • Ability to lift 15-20 pounds and perform physical tasks such as squatting, bending, and standing
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
