About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, deliver, and administer manufacturing skills training programs including hands-on and classroom components
- Serve as a trainer and mentor to new and existing team members through coaching, demonstrations, and job shadowing
- Execute site training materials, including standard work, videos, and testing/verification of training
- Facilitate training activities such as "train the trainer" for Leads and formal classroom instruction
- Audit local training processes and collaborate on creating visual training aids and updated work procedures
- Manage various training methods tailored to different employee skill levels and learning styles
- Distribute assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training plans
- Responsible for cross-training employees to ensure proficiency in all work-related tasks
Requirements
- Experience with manufacturing processes; knowledge of the extrusion process is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills for small group and classroom-type training
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple trainees
- Ability to walk consistently throughout a non-climate controlled facility
- Ability to lift 15-20 pounds and perform physical tasks such as squatting, bending, and standing
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
