Technical Leader – Fire Protection Engineering

Responsibilities

• Guide fire engineering professionals and deliver complex solutions for large construction projects
• Manage current and future projects to meet and exceed financial targets
• Act as a technical authority and primary point of contact for clients
• Lead discussions with design teams, building control, and fire services
• Supervise, mentor, and train graduate engineers
• Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the building safety sector
• Prepare technical proposals, commercial submissions, and sound technical reports
• Provide engineering support for fire protection system inspection, testing, and maintenance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fire Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in fire protection engineering
• Experience in design review, inspections, and commissioning
• Strong understanding of fire and life safety codes and standards
• Proven ability to undertake technical work independently
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Fluency in Dutch and English
• Willingness to travel within Belgium to client sites and offices

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of French
• Experience in a consultancy environment
