About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the utilities drafting and shop drawing team for UAE infrastructure projects
- Oversee utilities drafting, technical review, and coordination from IFC review to consultant approval
- Manage the preparation of utility layouts, profiles, cross sections, and chamber details
- Review gravity and pressure networks for slopes, invert levels, alignment, and constructability
- Coordinate utilities with roads, structures, bridges, and existing services to identify clashes
- Prepare and review RFIs related to utility conflicts and design gaps
- Control the utilities drawing submission programme and maintain trackers, RFI logs, and approval records
- Guide, train, and monitor the productivity of engineers and draftsmen
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 10–15 years of experience in utilities shop drawings or infrastructure technical office work
- Minimum 3 years in a senior review or team lead role
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Mandatory)
- Basic knowledge of Civil 3D (Preferred)
- Experience with MS Excel
- Knowledge of Navisworks or clash review software (Preferred)
- UAE or GCC infrastructure experience (Preferred)
- Strong experience with road interfaces
