About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of the micro-frontend strategy, including module boundaries, shared shells, and Webpack/Module Federation setup.
- Define the UI design system, including component libraries, design tokens, and Figma-to-code workflows.
- Set standards for state management across React applications and scalable CSS architecture.
- Ensure accessibility (ARIA/WCAG) compliance across all portal surfaces.
- Define UI performance budgets and drive the rollout of performance and error monitoring.
- Direct authentication/authorization delivery using OAuth/OIDC and enforce OWASP web security standards.
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of an offshore senior developer team, including sprint commitments and code reviews.
- Define test automation strategies using Playwright and establish quality gates for UI releases.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in front-end engineering.
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Lead owning end-to-end delivery of large-scale web applications.
- Expert-level command of React (web and mobile), Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Proven experience with Webpack, Module Federation, and micro-frontend architecture in production.
- Deep knowledge of ARIA/accessibility standards and CSS architecture at scale.
- Experience architecting UI design systems and working with Figma hand-off workflows.
- Solid understanding of OAuth/OIDC and OWASP security practices.
- Experience architecting containerized UI deployment pipelines.
- Strong communication skills with experience managing offshore development teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services or highly regulated industries.
- Experience designing UI A/B testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with Playwright or comparable UI test automation frameworks.
- Experience with error-monitoring platforms such as Sentry or Datadog RUM.
- Exposure to mobile-specific micro-frontend or module-federation patterns.
