Responsibilities

• Analyze product requirements and produce high-quality, production-ready code
• Build and maintain new user-facing features from database models to UI components
• Own technical architecture for major initiatives and guide complex technical decisions
• Create services and APIs to drive web app features
• Maintain system health, refactor codebase, and ensure robustness
• Set technical standards for code quality, testing, and engineering excellence
• Directly manage 2-6 engineers through 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development
• Mentor engineers through pairing sessions and thoughtful code reviews
• Participate in hiring and technical assessments to build a world-class team
• Partner with product and design to translate vision into executable technical plans

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in both frontend and backend development
• Proven track record of shipping high-impact products
• Experience leading, mentoring, or managing engineers
• Strong React fundamentals
• Background working with TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder alignment skills
• Extreme bias toward action and execution
• Ability to balance hands-on coding with people management
• Must be based in the United States
