Technical Lead

Responsibilities

• Align with key client initiatives and interface daily with Fortune 500 customers
• Design, develop, and evolve highly scalable and fault-tolerant distributed components using Big Data technologies
• Provide technical leadership by guiding developers in daily design and coding tasks
• Participate in hiring technical talent to build the team
• Design and implement APIs, abstractions, and integration patterns for distributed computing
• Define technical requirements, data extraction, transformation, and automation within parallel processing environments

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant work experience in a technical discipline
• Experience in architecture and delivery of enterprise-scale applications
• Proven track record of building and shipping large-scale engineering products
• Experience working with large, complex data sets from various sources
• Proficiency with Hadoop, Spark, or similar stacks
• Experience with functional and object-oriented programming in Python or Scala
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure such as GCP or AWS
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Expertise in database modeling, data mining, and warehousing
• Experience with the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, MapReduce, Oozie, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kerberos, Kafka)
