Technical Lead (Roads)

Responsibilities

• Lead the roads shop drawing team and distribute work to engineers and draftsmen
• Prepare, draft, and correct road shop drawings for urgent submissions and complex grading
• Review and approve internal road shop drawings before submission
• Ensure proper preparation of road layouts, grading, profiles, cross sections, and pavement drawings
• Review Civil 3D outputs including alignments, surfaces, corridors, and quantity outputs
• Coordinate road drawings with utilities, stormwater, sewerage, electrical, and landscape services
• Identify design gaps, missing levels, and constructability risks
• Manage the road drawing submission programme and maintain trackers and RFI logs
• Train and develop junior engineers and draftsmen on technical quality and production speed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• 9 to 15 years of experience in road shop drawings or infrastructure technical office work
• Minimum 3 years in a senior review or team lead role
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD
• Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D
• Experience with MS Excel for tracking and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• UAE or GCC infrastructure project experience
• Experience with Navisworks or other clash review software
• Expertise in roads, highways, junctions, and traffic diversion interfaces
