Technical Lead: Network Software Development

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for the team designing and developing critical elements of the network stack, including the data plane, control plane, security, and remote/cloud management.
• Develop network services such as switching, traffic management, classification, SLA enforcement, and security for point-to-multipoint wireless access systems.
• Oversee network and device management, including configuration, telemetry, alarms, diagnostics, and WebUI.
• Design and implement scalable network/cloud management and provisioning frameworks.
• Collaborate with product management, QA, and functional leads to deliver networking features.
• Mentor team members and instill best software development practices.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 12+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Deep expertise in packet forwarding, routing, bridging, switching, VLANs, and Ethernet services.
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, Internet architecture, and computer network protocols.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ systems programming and socket/network programming.
• Deep understanding of UNIX-style operating systems, including IPC and multi-threading.
• Experience with network/cloud management protocols such as SNMP, Yang Models, NetConf, LDAP, HTTP, OpenFlow, or TR-69.
• Experience with security and encapsulation technologies like IPSec, CAPWAP, and 802.1x.
• Proficiency with version control systems and collaboration tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in telecom or embedded software development for carrier or enterprise products.
• Experience using AI agents throughout the software development lifecycle.
• 4+ years of management experience with a demonstrated ability to plan, track, and execute complex deliveries.
