Technical Lead - Electronic Component Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the selection, qualification, and lifecycle of electronic components used in automotive products
• Select, evaluate, and approve active and passive electronic components to meet design, performance, and reliability requirements
• Define and support component qualification, testing, and validation activities
• Manage component lifecycle risks, including obsolescence, second sourcing, and supply continuity
• Provide technical guidance, alternatives, and best-practice component usage to design teams
• Work with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve technical issues and improve component performance
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
• Maintain component data, documentation, and standards within internal systems using Siemens EDM or equivalent tools

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in electronic component engineering
• Strong knowledge of both active and passive electronic components
• Proven experience with component selection, qualification, and lifecycle management
• Familiarity with Siemens EDM or similar component management tools
• Understanding of REACH and RoHS regulations
• Understanding of quality, reliability, and compliance requirements
• Strong logical approach to problem solving and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with global teams and maintain time-zone flexibility
